Question about Apple iPod nano
I recently purchased a second gen 8 gig Ipod nano. When I first synched my ipod nano, my music wasn't in great order. So, I went into the Itunes music folder and moved a bunch of music around organizing it much better. However, when i synched the ipod after the move, the ipod did could not find the files i moved. Ok, so then I thought I needed to "restore" the ipod and erase the files on the ipod and start from scratch. I thought that when I did the restore and then resynched once again that the ipod would download the newly organized music from my itunes music folder and create a new library. That did not happen. I still got a message when i synched that states that there are a bunch of files that there is a problem with because their locations could not be found. What can I do? Do I need to delete the old library? I love everything about my Ipod, but I just want my Ipod to reflect the exact way I catalogued it in my itunes music folder. Please help! Thanks
I know another way you could try formatting which may fix this problem. Restoreing just restores all the setting to your iPod yes it shoudl format as well but it may not due to an error or something.
To do try it another way follow these steps, first click on "Start" - "My Computer" look for you iPod when it's connect usually called "Removable Disk" once you've found it "Right-click" on it then click on "Format", once format is complete disconnect, then connect it again then run "Update" for your iPod and for iTunes, once you've done that have another attempt.
Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful in some way. Further problems leave a comment and i will get back to you.
