The dvd/vcr has been accidently locked. A dvd was being watched and then stopped and somehow the machine is locked. I am unable to locate the manual to find out how to unlock same. It is an Omni combination player - DVC-6700H. Can you please let me know how to unlock the player.

- vcr will not record it shuts off and when I press play the picture is horizontal lines and makes a loud distorted noise. - The dvd/vcr has been accidently locked. A dvd was being watched and then stopped The DVD was then removed. The door was closed and machine turned off; later that day when we tried to use it the door would not open and somehow the machine is locked. The word lock appears on the screen. I am unable to locate the manual to find out how to unlock it. I have tried Unpluging the systhem while off waiting 10 minutes and pluging everything in again. It is a- JVC XV N50 DVD Player. Can you please let me know how to unlock the player.Thank you- newyorker

i went to this site and got the users manual
you will need to register first though
if your problem was the same as mine then all you need to do is hold the on button on your remote for 8 seconds

Exactly the same problem. No matter what I do the display flashes up with the word LOCK
