Sounds like you have a very weak battery. It would be beneficial to charge the battery for some time before trying to jump it. You could also take the battery to a Auto Parts store and have them check it. If it is bad, then bring a new one home, and try it then.
If your battery is too weak, sometimes you cannot jump the car.
Let me know how what you figure out, and I can provide further help.

Dare, Turn the key to the run position and shift the car to neutral. Turn the key to the start position and see if it will start.
There have been problems with the park/neutral switches that can cause this type of problem. If it still wont start, we will proceed to the next step.

If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.

I have a 98 Saturn SL1 from time to time it would not start, it wouldn't even try. I knew the battery was good. It turned out to be the cranshaft position sensor.

The battery
and charging subsystem consists of a battery and a generator with a built in
regulator and integral fluid intrusion shield. The system also includes the
Powertrain Control Module (PCM ) software to increase idle speed during
low voltage conditions. The battery supplies current to the starter to crank the
engine during starting. After the engine starts, the charging system recharges
the battery and supplies power to various electrical devices in the vehicle. The
PCM monitors battery voltage and will increase idle speed if battery voltage
drops below a calibrated
amount.
With that said Batteries usually last three years so if yours is older then that then it could be time, also a weak charging system will kill a battery really fast. I recommend that you take the battery to local Napa or Autozone and have the battery tested if it comes back no good replace then after you get it running take to car somewhere to confirm your charging system is in proper running order usually some parts stores can test that also.
Hope this helps
