Hello... I have a SOYO KT600 Dragon Plus mobo and recently purchased a new WD Caviar Green 1 TB SATA drive. It is not recognizing it no matter what I do. I downloaded and installed the newest via_hyperionpro_v518a driver bundle -- that did not help. I have an IDE WD Caviar 160 GB drive already installed and wish to use that for my OS and software and intended on using the new SATA drive as a secondary (or slave) for file storage (files, tunes, photos). Any ideas as to what can be done to fix this? Thanks, / JB
I have the same mobo and SATA is enabled since I had a 200GB SATA hdd previously. I since turned this into a NAS server and purchased a 1TB WD Green SATA hdd. I have the same problem.
Yuck! Soyo filed for bankruptcy in May and their website is gone!
You need to enable the SATA in the rom bios AND install the drivers for it; but, I hope you have the manual and the CD.
