Re: USB conection problems

Since Phillips is not developing any patches for the Windows Vista problem...infact they are not even selling the stereo anymore at all. There is a work around which you can use. Purchase a cable which has a headphone jack on one side and the red/white audio connectors on the other. You plug the headphone jack into the headphone port on your laptop/PC and then plug the other side into the audio ports behind the stereo. There is no decrease in quality, it sounds awesome plus you do not need to deal with the stupid software which doesn't always work anyways. Good Luck!!!

I've bought a new PC running 64 bit Windows 7, and my installation disk won't load. Anything that can be done?

Yes if you have the Phillips WACS700 and want to install the software that came with the system to upload/download music and you have a windows 7 or Vista you need to open the explorer and go to the CD/DVD folder then look for the .exe change the properties of the .exe files to run in compatibility mode "compatible with Windows XP SP2", then run them from the explorer. I have a Win 7 computer and both software that came with the CD did not wanted to run because they required XP, as soon as I change the properties of the files they ran and installed without a glitch, everything worked as it should and I been able to enjoy my music on the WACS700.

Need to connect a sharp VCR Model NO VC AA350 to the computer

No Problems Melanie
Get hold of a stero 3.5mm (1/4inch) plug to 2x RCA plug lead of how ever long you need (2m is good)
The sharp VCR will have 6 jacks or maybe just 4 if it isn't a stereo vcr.
Now do you want to record into the vcr or into the computer?

your pc will have at least 2x 3.5mm sockets, one will be line in, and the other will be line out- this one may already have your speakers connected. (don't use the mic socket)

the sharp vcr will have an i and an out- you are only interested in the red and white RCA Sockets.

So the device you wish to record TO is the line in! and the other device is the line out!

TIP change the channel to AV1 on the Sharp to get it to work, and you may also need to setup Line in volume on your PC's mixer- it may not be selected.

We can't get the power to come on.

Make sure that everything is plug into the right spot. If the amp comes on and nothing else, I will check the power cords. Also check the power buttons for each unit and make sure they are on. Also listen for a click sound from the amp when you turn it on. You will here it about 2 to 7 seconds after you turn it on with the main power button. If you do not here it, then you have a problem with the amp. One of the channels is bad and you will need to take to a repair shop for repair.

Mine did the same, the station was trying to connect on channel 1 wi-fi where the centre was on channel 11, check under information and wi-fi for both. I then did a restore on the station, put both into installation mode and they found each other after a few mins.

Hope this helps

MCM530 Philips sound agent vista driver?

After try without success to install the cd driver and program from Philips, go to device manager and replace the device driver "Philips composite USB" (or something like that) pressing right click and the first option (update driver). Then the second option (find in this computer), then "choose from a list" and use the "Philips composite USB-Hifi device". Windows advertise that is not signed but continue anyway.
It should work, does for me.

Sorry for my english, i don´t really speak this language!

Greetings from Argentina!
