SOURCE: how to fix if bugaboo front wheel spring is broken?

Not worth the time trying to repair. Bugaboo sell the wheels as a spare part and there are lots of wheels secondhand on eBay.

Bugaboo gecko handle lock wont lock. It does however lock on the larger wheel side. I did open both sides up and the pins and the plastic wheel seem to be in good shape. The hubs dont seem to be broken...

On face book? check out Bugaboo Repair Guy photo albums if the locking pins extend out into the outer hub chanel and there is no damage to the plastic hubs it will lock.

Easiest way to attach spring to the back wheel base?

As long as the black piece still has the "nubs" on both sides at the turn in the "L" shape and the base isn't broke then this is going to be easy. There is a groove on the main unit the little wheel fits into that groove, the "nubs" fit into small holes on the swivel down piece, and the spring fits between the small side of the "L" shape and the bottom of the swivel down piece..

P&t front wheel sticks

Dear Jo B,

Have you made sure that none of the fixing bolts or bearings that hold the wheels in place are stuck or seized? If they are not, then you might need to adjust any of the retaining springs that also fix the wheels to the rest of the stroller assembly (if these springs are indeed fitted).

Any bearing grease, or even car axle/ CV joint grease will do fine.
Some of these strollers also have a clip that you push down with your foot and it locks the wheels in certain positions. Check that this clip is not broken or misfitting, also check the brake bar too.

Hope this helps and do let me know how you get on.

Yours sincerely

How to put front wheels in locked position on Bebecar tracker? Thank you!

You can put the front wheels in swivel position by pressing down on the lever on the left side moulding. To put the wheels back in fixed position, there is a button on the outside of the same moulding that springs up the lever. An instruction booklet is available for the Tracker chassis by emailing [email protected]

Popping or knocking heard in front end when riding

Sounds like the Spring may be broken or there is another loose front end part such as a ball joint or a spring seat or something like that.

I had a broken spring on my 1990 Cadillac Deville and didn't know it until looking at it up under the wheel, and experiencing a popping or knocking sound when turning.

It could also be the bearing cap area problem.

Vibration at 100 kph (60 mph) after bump with 1988 landcruiser

Whilst not familiar with your vehicle, in mercedes it is called highway hop, and was caused by the universal joint(speed related) that goes to the gearbox, they also added a damper to the diff (weight, frequency related)), , in regards the leaf springs, unless the spring hanger bushes are totally knackered it shouldn't cause problems.
Look at
1)bushes
2)unijoints or excess movement of the gearbox output shafts
3)excess pinion movement of diffs(where the uni joint bolts on)
4)ball joints
5)?bent axle (rare but they do do it)
6)swivel bearings in the front diff
Not sure as to your front end set up, but this may help?

Metal spring has broken under my gas pedal

Put the Brake spring under the gas pedal (think its the same part) and then get a "Squash Ball" (small hollow ball for the game Squash) and tape that in place of the spring, you brake pedal will now feel more firm like a real car....
