I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.

My son put a penny in the SD card slot of my Pansonic flat screen tv. I finally got the penny out but now the volume and tv controls do not work. I can change the channels through my cable box but that is it. The volume does not work on my cable remote or the flatscreen. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem?? Thanks, Josh

SOURCE: Sanyo TV DP42647 No picture or sound, remote does nothing

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

Rx-v565 code RAV293 Yamaha remote

The codes for the AV 293 remote to operate a Yamaha RXV565 receiver may vary depending on the specific model of the remote. Here are a few steps you can follow to program the AV 293 remote to work with your Yamaha RXV565 receiver:
  1. Turn on the Yamaha RXV565 receiver.
  2. Press and hold the "Power" and "Input" buttons on the AV 293 remote simultaneously until the red LED light flashes twice.
  3. Press the "Power" button on the AV 293 remote.
  4. Enter the three-digit code for your Yamaha RXV565 receiver using the number buttons on the remote. The code may be listed in the instruction manual for the AV 293 remote or you can try one of the following codes: 431, 439, 471, 478, 559, or 678.
  5. Press the "Input" button on the AV 293 remote to test the code. If the code is correct, the Yamaha RXV565 receiver should turn off. If the code is incorrect, the red LED light on the AV 293 remote will flash twice.
  6. Repeat the above steps to try a different code if necessary.

How do i connect Orion DVD Player to LG Television with out a remote control.

The best option would be the HDMI-to-HDMI connection between your player and your TV. But because you mentioned that your TV is an old model, probably it does not have an HDMI port, in which case you have to use the RCA A/V connection. I understand you do not have a remote control for your TV, but you do not program a TV channel to watch DVD movies; you just switch between your TV and the DVD player as your audio/video sources. Here is what you have to do: check on your TV box for a button labeled 'Source' or 'Input'. Press on the button and it will alternate between TV and DVD (assuming you do not have any other device hooked up to your TV).

The tv shows on the SCREEN NO SIGNAL model PV 16190 and when trying to use the dvd shows TRAY ERROR

The DVD mechanism to your TV is faulty. Just check whether it receive any external signal. Connect it to external areal and try to tune it to get on-air stations. If it receives any, just repair its CD tray mechanism. In most cases, the loading mechanism need replacement.
If the TV do not receive any on-air station too, the tuner to your TV is faulty. Do the needy. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Howdo I hook a DVD player up to this model?

The easiest way would be to hook it up using the composite cables from the DVD player to the Rear of the TV.

First safely and slowly turn your TV around you should see inputs in the rear of the TV.

Second identify your composite inputs. They will be visible via the standard RCA Composite colors, which are Red(Audio), White(audio), and Yellow(Video)
Third Once you have found the RCA Composite Inputs, Take the cable which are inserted into the DVD player and Plug it into the TV's Composite Inputs.

Once all that is done, turn on your DVD player. Then using your TV's remote Press the "TV/VCR" / "Source" / "Input" button on your remote till you see video from your dvd player displayed on your TV.

Need directions on how to hook system up to tv

Hello,

Check the back of the system, you will find Video out, then Audio out (left and right). Connect the yellow cord to video out, and the white & red to Audio out appropriately.

Then connect the other end of the yellow cord to "Video in" at the back of the TV, then the red and white to audio in at the back of the TV.

After connecting as directed above, turn on the TV, then turn on the system. On the TV remote control, press "AV" or "Source" depending on what is written on the remote and there should be a display. If there is no display, press the "AV" or "Source" on the remote once or twice more and there should be a display of the receiver's welcome screen on the TV. You might also need to press "Source" on the system's remote if there no display.

Let me know if you don't av display even after following the above steps. The above is the correct way of connecting so it should work.

Note; The White and Red cords stands for Audio left and right, while the yellow cord stands for Video. The yellow is suppose to allow your system display on the TV screen, while the Red and White is to bring out sound.

I hope the above helps.

Good luck.

Remote code for PV-M1349

The secret is that the VCR code turns the set on/off and the TV code controlls the volume...try this:

Program the Verizon remote AUX button using the panasonic VCR codes until it turns the set on/off, program the remote for TV using the panasonic TV codes until it controls volume, then program the STB button to control all 3... STB, TV, and AUX. If you are missing any VCR or TV funtions try another respective panasonic code until all functions are available.

Panasonic VCR codes are 1089, 0062, 0189, 0252, 0643, 1062.
Panasonic TV codes are 0277, 0078, 0677, 1437.

To figure this out, I had to use the "what if none of the codes worked" section and figured I'd try the VCR codes since the TV codes would not turn it on/off.

Good Luck!
