Brother DCP-115C unable to clean

every time i start my printer it will clean itself automatically. this morning when i started to print my document the LCD screen showed paper jam. when i opened up the cover, the paper was not stuck nor wrinkled. and then the printer roller itself removed the paper. after this the LCD screen shows "unable to clean"...i've read thought the user's manual and tried to clean the ink and remove any dirt as possible..no paper pieces stucked seen. i've tried reinsert the ink cartridge hoping that the printer will start cleaning it. and also i 've tried to switch off and wait for few minutes but all these were to no avail...;(....please help me...
