The original pcb failed. This part was discontinued, LG gave me the part # for a new pcb. Replaced it, but now times out after 30 seconds of water fill on error code IE. Replaced the inlet valve, but same problem. How does it know when to stop filling? Can't find a float switch. Could the new pcb be incompatible?

Re: Error code IE
A pressure sensitive dome is common on some units. as pressure builds, an air switch is activated. otherwise there has to be a water contact switch. the air switch dome can be located near the pump under the unit. good luck mark

The heater circuit has failed if "HE" is displayed. Discontinue use and contact a service technician. The dishwasher requires servicing.
"TE" means the thermistor has failed or the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is over 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the temperature down on the hot water heater in the home. If the error code reappears, replace the thermistor. By the sound of this your heating system is malfunctioning and needs service. If you need more on this let me know, but it is either your temperature sensor or your heating element or control board.
Hi there, The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is: 1. Blocked drain hose 2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction) 3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Do you own an LG LDF6810ST dishwasher? If not, please reply with the manufacturer name, model and serial number.
Are you saying that the display that normally shows the time is displaying an code of 2H? On an LG, that means 2 Hours, (120 minutes) and is not an error code.
On an LG with a symptom like this, I would arrage to replace the main processor card (PCB). You would be getting an error message if the motor (wash or drain) had failed.
Confirming that this is an LG LDF7811 (which happens to be black) ... What you are seeing is a error code "tE" as in thermal error.
(The mentioned drain error would be "OE" as in Outlet (Drain) error.)
First check (with a thermometer) the inlet temperature of the hot water. If it is greater than 140 degrees, turn down your water heater to no less than 120 degrees and retry.
If problems persist, the problem is probably the thermister.
If it is not a failed thermister, then the controller card (PCB) needs to be replaced. Neither are easily changed and I urge you to contact LG service for repair. (See your manual for the number)
Good Luck! and please report back with what worked.
While LE is the LG error code for "Motor Error": The Motor is working
abnormally, it does not always mean that the motor itself has failed.
As you replaced the pump motor, are you certain that the Impeller of Washing Pump is turning freely? Next, is the Blade spinning freely?
If everything above is obviously not locked, the next item is the controller board. (PCB)
Hope that helps. Please report back with your findings! Good Luck.
