Free Agent Xtreme - Disk not being recognized in MAC

I had been using the Free Agent Drive earlier with my MAC (iMac), Now when I try connecting it again, the disk is not recognized. I dont see the disk in Disk utility.
If I use the system profiler and check the devices under Firewire, it states a unknown device is connected.
