washing machine is dispersing oil on the clothing. We have taken it apart and cleaned it and have used the special cleaning solution because we thought it was dirty water being dispersed on the clothes .Now that it is clean and back together the clothes came out with large patches of dirty spots, so we are thinking it must be oil. Where could the oil be coming from? is there a seal that needs replacing?

Number 1 Cause .... using fabric softner in washer it accumilates around the top of the tub and it gets nasty! it depends on what type of machine you have if it is even possible to leak oil into the wash basket
