Question about NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router
I never got a set up disc for netgear wgt624v3 and i just cant get the gist of it all im new to computing and cant get it to do what its supposed to, i also got a 108 pc card can you hlep me out thank you for your time firstname.lastname@example.org
The guide that Osborne gave you there is actually fairly comprehensive - where the ROUTER is concerned.
The part that is missing from his solution is that you're also going to have to configure the card in Windows.
First, I would like to give you the link to the product page for the Netgear 108 PC card. There you can find the newest driver software for the adapter.
You can find the product page HERE. This page also makes lots of helpful information available to you to help you get started. (Note the Installation Guide on the left panel.)
I'm not sure if you're using this on a PC with Windows XP or Vista, so you're going to have to adapt and ask questions here...
But generally, once you install the software for the adapter and your router is all set up for your internet connection, you have to go back to your computer and configure the wireless adapter to connect to the router.
Assuming that the software installed OK, there should be a Netgear software running that will help you to connect your system to the router. Find that software running in your task bar in the lower-right corner of your Windows desktop, double-click it and follow the easy steps to connect to your router.
If you have any further issues, please let us know about them. Please also be sure to let us know which version of Windows your system is running.
We'll be watching.

Tips for a great answer:
Aug 14, 2013 | NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router
Mar 11, 2013 | Routers
I did two things to resolve this issue
1. Downgrade the router to a lower version. If your router is Netgear WGT624 v3 use this link to downgrade your router
(this help to avoid getting a errro message "Unable to join network")
2. Reconfigure you Wifi network by going to setting ---->under choose a network---> others-----> Enter your SSID name (seen at the back of your router) ----->under the security tab selet the same encyrption standard as that of your router which you can see when you log in to the router (usually router IP 192.168.1.1) ---->setup ------>wireless setting----> security option. This one helps you to join your home wifi as soon as you enter your home.
I hope this one works as it worked for me
