Control Panel Numerals and letters in control panel, such as for temperature and error messages, have dimmed to the point where they are difficult to see, even with room light off.  How, please, ca I fix this?

Cheap Fix for a Dim Display on an Oven Control Panel ...

Depending on the make of the oven the error code E011 can indicate a faulty temperature sensor or bad control panel when steam escapes from the oven and into the panel. In either case this issue usually requires a repair technician to fix the problem.

I had a Wolf 30F wall oven with a similar problem
after power outage. It wouldnt stop beeping with error message related
to temperature control. My solution was to turn power of at circuit
panel, then reset by pressing and holding the clear button for 5
seconds.

Also note: in my case I had to close the display
before switching the panel off. When I tried to the reset process with
the panel showing, it wouldn\'t reset.



To reset other
various parts of the control panel Instructions said:



Time-of-Day Clock

Immediately after the oven is installed, set
the 12-hour clock to the current time of day. It may need to be reset
after a prolonged power failure. The clock is visible on the control
panel during all modes. If the upper oven timer is set, the clock will
not be visible in the upper oven control panel display.



SETTING CLOCK

1) Touch CLOCK.

2) Touch number pads to
set current time of day.

3) Touch CLOCK or ENTER to start
clock.



24-HOUR CLOCK

The time-of-day clock can be
changed from a 12-hour clock to a 24-hour clock. After the clock has
been set, touch TEMPERATURE for three seconds, touch CLOCK, and then
touch ENTER. Follow the same sequence to change back to the standard
12-hour clock setting.



Fahrenheit to Celsius

The
oven can be changed from Fahrenheit (°F) temperature to Celsius
(°C).

the heat sensor the controls the oven temp is bad or shorted closed and needs to be changed also the control panel that operates the oven temp could have a bad I C Chip thats went bad and you may need to new control panel

Hi, this will happen over a period of time and its just heat related. the control panel isn't insulated properly and , there has been a larger than normal transfer of heat to the inside of the control panel where the circuits are housed.

If this is a problem, i recommend replacing the control board. it will fix the dim issue.

Hi. I recommend Checking the sensor wiring harness and harness connection between the oven sensor and oven control. Replace the oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

A similar condition in our oven, finally resulted in an "F1" error message on the control panel/ keypad. A replacement of the control panel seems to be indicated. The part is available from several different jobbers: part # AP 4283616. A service call prompted our order of this part; hasn't arrived yet, but will post when in and working.

Code F-10 indicates a temperature runaway. There are two possible problems. 1) The oven temp sensor has failed. This can be checked using a standard multimeter. The sensor is located behind the rear access panel of your oven. The sensor should read about 1100 ohms at room temperature. 2) The oven control board needs to be replaced. There are no FRU's (field replaceable units) on the control board. Check the sensor first. Even a new control board is cheaper than a new oven.

Hvace, F2 is a shorted temperature sensor. Probably took it out with the self clean...Catriver..post back.
