Take the battery out as soon as possible, remove the main board and soak it in alcohol (not Rum) for 10 to 15 seconds and hit it with some "blow off" duster in a can or tuner cleaner. The corrosion (whitish-green) around the legs (pins) of the chips and discrete components often renders the main board useless. You can try cleaning the corrosion off with soda water and a soft toothbrush and then spraying it out with some tuner cleaner. Take the rest apart and clean as best you can especially around the battery power input, using the method above. Let it dry overnight, reassemble it, say a prayer and turn it on. You will need a T6, a #6 Torx screwdriver. You can buy them at Sears/Craftsman individually for about $3.00.Best of luck to you.
