Monitor light/# restricted?? and voicemail help

I don't know where to turn here , and I'm really in need of help with my IPhone. I'm hoping you can help me. I can't find the setting where I change the time the backlighting is on. It's on ALL the time! I just got my Iphone and it won't turn off unless I turn the phone off or sleep mode it. I'm a gal with a new Iphone, and no one to help me out. Can you? And when people call me now, (after I put my SIM in my Iphone,) they don't get my voicemail even though I recorded it on my IPhone, and they dont' see my number on THEIR phone! It comes up restricted.....any ideas???? I'd be really grateful if you could help me at all............Robbie

How to retrieve lost voice message on cell phone.

Though iPhone uses quite a different storage mechanism, still you can recover deleted or lost data (such as text messages, voice mail, contacts, photos etc) with a third party specific iPhone data recovery software called Tenorshare iPhone Data Recovery. I used it to recover deleted voice mails from iPhone 4s and it worked.
You can give it a shot! Download it from

My voicemail deleted itself automatically after 14 days. I don't have visual voicemail. I did not know this and wanted to save a very important message. Is there any way to retreive it?

Even if you don't delete a message, according to AT&T's voicemail usage page, messages stay around for either 14 or 21 days, rather than indefinitely
Voicemail messages are downloaded to the iPhone from AT&T servers and after being deleted from the iPhone are no longer available on the server.
Unfortunately,AT&T says that once it's gone, it's gone :(
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Iphone, vociemail, restricted #, and monitor lighting help

for your brightness problem, go to your home screen and touch settings, then brightness, and make sure your auto-brightness is on, that will allow the Iphone to adjust the brightness up and down as the day goes on and you need more or less light.

as for the restricted problem, what you need to do is call AT&T. More than likely there is a problem with your account. Things like this most technicians at AT&T can say..."Let me look, oh yeah...don't know why that was clicked, there your fixed"

Hope this helps :)
