You will need to delete your browser cache to remove top hits.

To clear the browser cache:
From the Home screen, choose Settings > Safari. Tap Clear Cache.

To delete bookmarks:
Open any webpage in Safari and then tap the bookmark icon at the bottom of the browser. Once the Bookmarks window shows, tap on the edit button at the bottom right. The bookmarks will then show a red delete icon next to them. Tap the icon to delete the bookmark.

on my installation of Firefox, I just to show bookmarks - ctrl+shft+B - ans for example click on unsorted bookmarks, a list of bookmarks appears, and I click on the one I want to remove, and press the delete key on my computer, and it's gone, Click in red square at top right when you have finished to close the show bookmarks window.

How to remove bookmarks
Open Safari, click on the little book icon in the bottom of the screen. It will open your bookmarks, hit Edit in the bottom right corner. It will bring up red circles with lines in them on the left of the bookmarks. Tap on that, it will delete those bookmarks.

How do i remove bookmarks
I tried this first on a new unnamed folder to make sure it worked first. I am using a Mac, and hope this will help you. I went to my "Bookmarks" - "Show All Bookmarks" and simply clicked on the folder I wanted to delete, went to "Edit" and simply hit the delete key. If there are only individual bookmarks in a particular folder, open the folder, click on the bookmark you want to delete, then follow the same steps above. You can delete each bookmark or an entire folder. Hope this helps.

    Open the bookmarks menu. Scroll towards tnd he top of the menu panel. You will find the option: Open all bookmarks., or press CTRL + SHIFT + B.
    A new panel opens up on the left side of the screen (on my computer that is what it does). You will see a list of folders and bookmarks. Select a bookmark, then right click mouse button or press DEL button. to delete. To select several bookmarks, hold the CTRL key pressed and point to a bookmark, select, point to another and so on. Once selection is finished press the DEL key., or right click mouse button and select the contextual menu DELETE. Confirm any deletion.
