New unit. Goodman air handler, ARUF 61D14AA. Where is O and Y2 for connecting heat pump and indoor thermostat wires, yellow and orange? Thanks

Is this a 2 stage cooling system because only then you will need y2.
You can put any color you like on these terminal but it have to match up with the thermostat for example if you put black on R terminal on air handler then you have to put black on R on thermostat

Blower on heat pump blowing with no demand

There is a contact in the blower control card that can stick on. There is also a possibility that the green wire which starts the blower motor could be shorting out with the red wire somewhere inside the thermostat wire. If that is the problem, either pull new thermostat wire, (the rest of the insulation is probably breaking down) or there is some new red link controllers from Honeywell that will completely eliminate wire because the controls are all wireless.

Cool mode well reverse ob valve to heat

On a Rheem the reversing valve engages on heat. On a Goodman (and most others) the Reversing valve engages on cool. You will want the thermostat to engage the reversing valve on the orange. There may be a switch in the thermostat that allows you to chose either O or B. Select O. If you have a choice of wire on the thermostat of either O or B than choose O. Also check and make sure the thermostat wire goes to the outside unit. Also make sure you have a thermostat that is comparable with your heat pump.

Its 28 degrees out side and my goodman 3.5 ton heat pump package unit is blowing cold air out of all my regesters

Sounds like the heat pump is not running. Check outside to see if the fan is spinning.

Try moving the thermostat to emergency heat and see if that gives you any heat. If it does, then you have heat until you can get a service technician to locate the problem with the heat pump. It could be a wide range if issues from bad thermostat to bad wiring to bad capacitor.

MY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK IN EMERGENCY MODE

the thermostat sub base has a place to connect a wire usually white to energize the heat strips when you push the stat way hotter than the house temp. that is why the strips come on in normal heat. it also has a terminal that is only energized in emergency heat and it also should have a wire connected to it so that terminal can supply power to the strips when the stat is switched into emerg heat . you can identify the terminal from the wiring diagram and if need be jumper w2 wire over to the aux terminal and it will work. they both go back into the airhandler and power the same strips. w2..................................................................................................w2 in airhandler to strips or w2...jumper to aux......................................................................................................................w2 in airhandler to strips.
