SOURCE: I have a Nordic Track EXP 1000X treadmill and the

Probably 85% of the time, it's the sensor.

1. remove the screws from the bottom of the enclosure case. 2 or 3 in the front and 1 on each side

lay it back down, and power it up, and actuate your incline. watch the end of the motor, to see if the shaft is moving. It probably IS turning but only a little bit. NOT enough. In this case I'd say it is the sensor.

2. Unplug the unit of course.
3. the incline motor is in the middle of the pack,..you'll see a black tube looking thing sticking up.
4. on the bottom side of this, you will see,..or feel for a black square sensor attached to bottom of the motor casing.
5. follow the wires and unplug this.
6. pry it off with a screw driver. Remove incline assembly, if you cannot reach it.
7. replace sensor and try it again.

if the MOTOR does NOT turn when using the incline buttons, the problem backs up to possibly a bad control board. or a bad motor on your incliner, however, i'd say that's the last thing to go.

Order of failure: 1. sensor 2. control board 3. motor.

good luck

SOURCE: How do you replace the walking platform on the

First, remove the motor hood. There are 3 screws at the front, and 2 underneath. The screws underneath will have to be removed by tipping the treadmill over, or pulling the console towards the rear of the machine.

Next, remove the side rails. This is a little tricky because of the cushion adjusters on each side of the deck. If you look underneath the deck, you will see that the adjusters are on rails that are attached to the platform. Remove all of the screws from the side rail and push it toward the rear of the machine while also moving the adjusters rearward. You'll have to kind of move them together until the adjuster slides off the rail. Do both sides.

Remove the rear roller, by loosening the bolts. Don't mess with the front roller unless you intend to replace the motor belt. You don't need to remove the front roller or the walking belt.

There are 4 bolts holding the deck to the frame. The rear ones go through the frame to a lock nut. The front bolts screw into the isolators. Remove them and the deck will come loose. You can slide it out from the walking belt.

Place the new deck next to the old, and start moving the parts over. Make sure the safety decal is on the bottom like the old deck. All of the holes are pre-drilled except for the belt guides. You'll have to measure for these. Now do everything in reverse to reassemble the machine. I'm also attaching instructions on how to adjust the belt.

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} First, ensure that it is the walking belt that is loose. There is a belt hidden under the hood that connects the front roller to the motor (motor/drive belt). Start the treadmill at 3 or so and carefully apply pressure to the walking belt until it slips/stops. Watch the front roller. If it continues to spin when the walking belt stops, it’s the walking belt. It the front roller stops with the walking belt, the motor belt is loose and needs adjusted or replaced.

To adjust the walking belt, locate 2 hex head bolts, one on either side of the deck on the very back of the machine. These bolts will be recessed inside the plastic covers. Your treadmill came with a tool for this, but if you can’t find it, a standard (not metric) allen wrench kit will work. It’s helpful to have a wrench in each bolt so that you can adjust them at the same time, but one will work.

The allen bolts thread directly through each side of the rear roller. As you tighten the bolts, it pulls the rear roller away from the front roller, tightening the walking belt. This also centers it; if you tighten one bolt, it pushes the belt towards the center of the walking deck away from the bolt you’re tightening. So if the belt is too far to the right, tighten the right bolt and it will move towards the center.

Place your wrenches in the roller bolts and turn the machine on to 3-4 miles an hour. Keep your fingers clear of the belt, it will eat them. This method is quick, because you can see the belt move as you tighten one side or the other. It takes a few seconds, but if you tighten the right bolt for instance, you will see the belt move to the left. If the belt is loose but centered, tighten each bolt ½ turn and then get on the machine and see if it slips. The user manual will tell you to pull it up a couple of inches to test the tightness, which is a relative method and doesn’t necessarily work. My wife can pull on the belt and get 2 inches, and I can probably get 3 or even 4 if I’m showing off. The best way to test it is to gradually tighten it until you can run on it without it slipping.

You should lube the belt a couple of times a year. You can get them from iconfitness.com

Good Luck!

SOURCE: Nordic Track Ifit Treadmill has power but walking pad not working

If everything on the display console is working correctly then we know it is either a problem with the wires from the console to the controller or the controller itself. In most cases this means you need a new controller. To verify, take off the motor hood and find the green circuit board called the motor controller. With the power on go into manual mode and push the speed up button to a slow speed. If you see an LED light with "spd ctrl" next to it flickering but the belt still does not move then we know the problem is with the controller sending the signal to the walking belt, in which you should check the wires that go to the motor. If they are connected correctly then we know a new controller is in order. If you do not see a flickering light then it means the speed signal never got there and the problem will be with the wires going from the console to the controller. This is called an upright wire harness.

SOURCE: our belt is slipping on our nordic track c1900

I have the same unit. First, remove the hood. Then, the motor has an adjustment screw on the belt side of the motor. Loosen the nut a little, adjust the motor up or down to make the belt as tight as you can by hand, then re-tighten the nut. This always fixes mine.

Elite 7700 treadmill. Why is there no power to console?

If the electrical outlets work and are fine unplug the treadmill and then check the power cord for any damage. Replace the power cord if it's damaged. If the power cord is fine and looks fine then check the circuit breaker switch on the treadmill and reset the circuit breaker switch if it's tripped.
