All Halo 3 Copies FREEZE in main menu. No other game does!

Ok I have had my Xbox 360 for about 6 months. Since that time I had no issues with it, until I bought Halo 3. The Halo 3 I purchased from Ebay was in perfect condition. After placing it in the DVD Drive and loading it. All was going well, until I hit the Main Menu. The music played and froze. Thinking it was a one time thing I cleaned it and tried again, and again, and again. It froze in the same place every single time. So by that time I thought it was the disc. So I took it over my friends house and placed it in his 360, and it worked fine. Brought it back home and the same result occurred. So then i thought it was I asked him to bring his game to see if it worked, nope same result. After that I thought it was possible the update could be corrupt so I deleted all my Cache for all games and re-updated. Same result. Highly irritated and desperate I called Microsoft and they said that it could be the hardrive. So I took out the hardrive and ran it, same result. What the is the issue with this? This is the only game in my whole collection that does this. It freezes in the same exact place everytime on any Halo 3 copy. My 360 is a 2008 model, so I don't know what's the issue. Do anyone know what's going on here?
