Replacement parts for a Lifetime West Bend percolator

I own a Lifetime Flavo -perk (6-10 cups) made by West Bend on 1969 Cat No 7238. The pot is in excellent condition. It does not work because all the electric parts are damaged. Is there any electric replacement kit for this percolator? Where can I find it if available?

Re: Replacement parts for a Lifetime West Bend percolator

Have you contacted Lifetime? If you google them in Niagara Falls Canada, you'll get the phone number for their Canadian warehouse...they're great and can give you the USA location for parts or help you. Too bad you don't live in could walk in and get it sorted immediately. I have one of these percolators and use it it.

Where can I replacement filters for a 100 cup West Bend coffee maker?

The West Bend Large Capacity Coffemakers do not use replacement filters. The manual for the West Bend 33600 Large Coffee Urn is available here:

Use an electric perk or regular grind coffee in the percolator basket rather than a 'drip' or finely ground coffee that would require a filter.

If you require a new basket, please see the West Bend on-line replacement part site here:

Coffee maker heats but does not ''perk''

The well at the bottom of the pot where the tube fits in can get coated with mineral deposits from hard water, and this causes the problem you're having. Some brands of coffee makers come with a cleaning tool for this. It's a flat metal piece that fits the well, and you use it to work a piece of steel wool (plain, not a soap pad!) back and forth to scrape off the buildup. If you don't have the tool, you can just cram a wad of steel wool into the well and twist it around by hand. It also helps to pour in Lime-Away (or a similar kind of cleaner) to fill the well and cover the bottom. Let it soak for a while, use the steel wool (wear rubber gloves to save your hands), and finish up with a thorough washing.

West Bend 36 cup coffee maker amounts

It's a percolator. Use about 1 heaping teaspoon of coffee per cup. Each coffee pot is different. You will have to adjust the amount of coffee for what you like.
