Problem for Motorola RAZR V3

Our Verizon Moto Raz V3 keeps turning on the "mute" mode.

We cannot make a call out, that doesn't mute our voice, we press "unmute" but it goes right back to "mute". In this situation, folks we call can hear us, but we cannot hear them. How can we turn off "MUTE"???
