Not able to turn on my hp ipaq hw6965

previously i was not having a usb cable ,so i connected my ipaq with bluetooth to syncronise it with pc .But when i installed an update for windows it has gone into serial mode and diplayong on screen "SERIAL" on top of screen,then in middle  "h/p" logo yhen at bottom "G v 3.9" and not able to get out of this mode and not able to make soft or hard reset to turn it on.

i have a ipaq hw6965,
For some reason it just turned off while I was on the phone and now will not turn back on! Battery is fully charged, i tried hard and soft resets, i have even tried battery in a friends exact same pda and it worked! But for unknown reasons to me, my pda won't turn on at all! The only other strange thing i have noticed is tha when the phone is on charge now, the charging light is now red, not orange like it used to be! I have also tried activesyncing it via usb to see if anything came up on my pc but nothing did! (of course)
Please help me as this is very frustrating!
