Only appears to happen when connected to World Golf Tour
Well you might just have poor internet connection. and the reason why it only crashes when connected to that program is because it probably sucks up more bandwidth(the amount of data needed to process a task) than most programs on your computer. and if your modem has a low bandwidth, it cannot handle large processes of data. to test if its your connection open up a browser, go to youtube, and play a random video, repeat this process 5-10 times in new windows each time. if all the videos run fine without lots of delay then it is the applications, but if it takes a long time to load each video it is a problem with your modem and you should consider contacting your provider for upgrading it.
If it is a problem with the application try re-installing the application

I suggest a new ADSL modem, I have seen issues before where intermittent connectivity issues are solved by replacing the ADSL modem.

First make sure you have the correct drivers installed, go to the Belkin website to get the latest drivers for your device.
Next make sure that your router is set to broadcast, and that is in Wireless G mode. You can find that information at the router manufacturers website.

Go into network set up
a shared Internet connection using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing)
You can use Internet
Connection Sharing (ICS) to share an Internet connection among two or more
computers on a network. First, you need one computer, called the host computer, that is connected to the Internet and that
has a separate connection to the other computers on your network. You enable ICS
on the Internet connection. The other computers on your network then connect to
the host computer, and from there to the Internet through the host computer's
shared Internet connection.
If your computer is connected to a network, network policy
settings might prevent you from completing these steps.
On the host computer (the computer whose Internet connection you
plan to share):

If youre connected online with that game, i think the problem will most likely be on your internet connection, you can check if your internet connection is stable by pinging any website. You can try open up Windows Command Prompt if your using windows and type ping www.yahoo.com.
If youre referring to offline games and connected via network lan, you should check your LAN card if its ok by pinging your Lan address which is 127.0.0.1.
Or if your not connected on Network Lan, then you should try reinstalling the game.
