Is this a post for non stock parts, added to car?
why not ask the maker of this, no jeep shop will help you, its NOT JEEP.
http://www.avital.com/

if i had it ,it be UNINSTALLED in a flash,
never do hack up cars
if you do and then are far from home, nobody anywhere on the road
can help you, its all custom stuff.
think about that..... run a stock car if a serious driver.
or lean to fix those custom parts your self. totally.
i have classic cars and custom systems. but im fully documented.

SOURCE: car alarm won't turn off after recharge of battery

When the battery is disconnected and replaced and when the battery is drained and then recharged, the anti-theft device in your car was activated.

Refer to your Manual to arm and disarm the anti-theft device, it should reset

If this does not work using the remote, try locking and unlocking the driver side door with the key and IMMEDIATELY START the car.

My sons1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee had the gauges light on and would not start like battery was dead. Had it jump started and it started. When he put in park it stalled jumped again and worked.

Sounds like a charging system problem and the alternator may not be working. The gauge light will come on if the charging gauge is showing low so you will look at the gauges. Have the battery and charging system tested

Try closing the doors then hook up jumper cables, let it sit for a couple of minutes with cables hooked up and other vehicle running. Then try to use key to turn off alarm before opening door. Then try to start it.

Had to jumpstart 99 jeep wrangler, now it idiles very high.

sometimes , when a battery goe's down, and you replace them, or jump start them, the computer has to reset itself and it will take a few minutes to do this, but afterwards, it should be fine, if you still have the problem, check for trouble codes.

Battery is dead, can't jump start it even though i just drove it. does it need a new battery?

If the battery just died for no reason, reason being the door was left open too long or a headlight, dashlights were left on or any application on your car was left on then your battery probably just needs to be recharged. If that not the case then it most likey your alternator if that dead then your battery was not being rechared/maintain by the alternator, even if you drove it that drive kill was power your battery had so in that case you will have to replace your alternator

98 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4X2 suddenly dies .....

It sounds like you have some **** in the gas tank that is being drawn to the pickup blocking it.
Have seen this and because it seems so random, it can drive ya nuts.

You might carry a coffee can with you and pull the line from the fuel rail when this happens stick it in the can and just have someone turn the key on for a few seconds.
Beware though, it comes out with force.

Also possible is a failed fuel pressure regulator.
Those aren't expensive and . . . well, not very good either.
