To oil your shredder, squirt some shredder oil onto a piece of paper (don't completely soak the paper) that you wish to shred & feed this paper through your shredder.
No reset button just unplug it or safely lift the top out of the trash can then the Disable/Safety Switch will make it stop (located on the right side towards the back of unit
The Royal cx-6 shredder is a small consumer shredder rated for "up to 6 sheets at a time" so yes it will jam with anything more that 6.
If running it in reverse won't work you will have to try to open it up and see if you can manually turn things to get the paper back out...there is no other way if it wont run in reverse...hopefully when you have the paper removed the machine will still function.
Doubt if you will get a new operators manual on a "consumer" model machine....remember this is a "light-use" shredder...only run the machine at 70% of its maximum rating...lubricate it occasionaly by putting shredder oil on a sheet of paper then shred the sheet of paper...only run it for a "max" of 5 mins then give it 10 mins to "cool down".....
If you "unplugged" the machine and let it sit for 1/2 hour and the "overheat" lite still won't go out then you probably fried the pcb inside the machine...you can call Royal at 1-800-524-0799 for parts advice.
