There may be a Menu choice on your cell phone for Account Balance. If so, choose that link to learn about the amount of money available on your prepaid cell phone account and the date when the funds end.

Or, log into your cell phone prepaid account and see the information.

Note: I have an AT&T Go Phone with a prepaid account. I have to be sure to refill the prepaid account BEFORE the day the prepaid amount ends in order for any remaining funds to roll over with the added new funds.

You need to contact the cell phone provider that supplied the prepaid SIM card and ask them if this is possible. Cell phone providers have different conditions attached to their SIM cards.

Are you able to switch on your phone without the sim card i mean like in OFFLINE mode ? Or your simply doesn't boot up with the sim card inserted or you are getting any message like sim card failed and then phone goes off ?

Try inserting some other prepaid sim in the phone and see if it turns on, if that succeeds then there is possibility that may be your sim card has damaged.

actually if you are going to use att's prepaid service, you can just insert that sim card in your lg vu.
