I have a Whirlpool refigerator model ED5THA that

I have a Whirlpool refigerator model ED5THA that has quit cooling. The blower fan still operates and the lights come on but it does not cool. The problem just began yesterday. I think it is probably the compressor. What are your thoughts and how much do you think the repair would be. It is only 5 years old.

It's likely the start device on the compressor. If you hear clicking sound every few minutes - that's likely it. Turn off the fridge, remove the start device from the compressor and shake it - if small pieces looking like sand start falling out, replace the start device. Part number is on the device itself.
