Re: goodman heater

Depending upon your installation the filter could be located in the bottom section of the furnace right or left of the blower, remotely located in its own housing in the return air plenum or it may be missing altogether. If you can find a spot to put one in, do it. You may just have to reset your thermostat. Some models have a pre-timed indicator that comes on after a number of hours reminding you to check your air filter. Post the model number of the thermostat and maybe we can help you reset the timer.

Goodman GNP075-3 seems to work fine but air coming out is only about 46 degrees

Check to see if the return duct has come apart in the attic or in the crawlspace (wherever the return is connected)

My girlfriend has a forced air Goodman furnace in her house. Her furnace has been not running well. Whenever the filter gets dirty the furnace does not run right which it to be expected. The problem is...

where is the thermostat located? i should be on a inside wall in a comon room and not around lights, computer or heat vent or air return. a thermostat is just a switch and will operate in its enviroment. does the fan cycle off before the heat starts blowing again? the fan on these are on a timer that the t stat will have to "brake" open on reaching temp to shut off. not knowing where your at look this over and i hope it helps. i dont think i would let someone sell me a control board for this problem.

My furnace wont come on unless you turn it down then back up again. Its set at 72..but you have to turn it down then it will heat up..and you have to keep doing this unless you want to freeze!

The first thing I would do is change the thermostat and go with the least expensive manual heating cooling stat I could find and see if that helps,Thank you

The cooled air is coming out at a very weak rate. The ac unit outside is blowing out cool air when the neighbor's is blowing out warm air. The house is just not getting cool. AC has been on for 4 days...

Turn off your A/C and put your fan switch in ON or FAN. Run the fan only for approx 3 hours. Check your air filter and clean/replace as necessary. Also check your evaporator coil and clean if necessary. It is possible that your evaporator coil is frozen up from a dirty filter or coil. If it continues to be a problem, you probably have a refrigerant problem which will require a certified service technician to address. Try taking care of the filter and coil first. :-)

I have a blinking snowflake icon on my air conditioner, my air will not work. My heater will work fine but the air will not come on

When the snowflake is blinking the thermostat in in a delay mode designed to protect your compressor. If it does not stop blinking in 15min the stat is bad otherwise something is wrong with the AC

Would like to have one

there shouldn't be anything too special about that thermostat.  it's just 1 heat, and 1 cool.  our digital ones are only $60 or so.

AIR or Heat wont come on/ goodman GMP075-3

If there is no blinking light, then the unit is not seeing a call for heat or cool. My guess is a lose or broken wire in the thermostat circuit. Try and putting a jumper across the red and white heat terminals inside the furnace and manually closing the door switch. If you get heat, it's telling you there is a wiring issue. If you get nothing, it's a bad circuit board.

The heat works perfect but when I call for air it does not do anything

Make sure that the thermostat is on Cool and that the outdoor electrical disconnect is on. If you still do not get cooling, there may be a fuse that needs replacing or other issues.

you should be able to. you will not hurt the furnace if you put filter in and watch the operation of heater. If the heater gets to hot it will trip out on high limit, then cool down and start again if air flow is restricted to much. The filter will need changed more often than the normal one
