Uline icemaker compressor runs very hot - slow ice production

Is the condenser fan running? Is the condenser clean? (condenser is the "radiator like" coil outside of the ice box. It cools the hot refrigerant.

Does the ice maker get water? Could the fill line be blocked? I found on my freezer ice had formed at the end of the tube and once I removed the ice it has worked fine since.

This unit work on the thermostat. When the temperature gets between 10 - 15 degrees it will satisfy the control then turn the compressor off and icemaker will advance. If the control is set too cold then it will never satisfy the control. 1st make sure the thermostat is at the warmest setting. When the compressor cycles off look to see if the icemaker is advancing.If no then replace the control.

This happens when the motor is running slow or the water switch is sticking. To take care of both things you need to replace the faceplate on the icemaker.

Your unit will only harvest when your thermostat is satisfied. If you have heavy frost you need to defrost the unit. If no frost then make sure the fan is running by the compressor. If the fan isnt running then the compressor is going off on overload. Or it could be the fan running but the compressor is not. If thats the case you will need a service tech.

Replace the thermostat in the ice maker control head.

U-line does make compressors as long as its not a r12 system. As far as the icemachine turn breaker off for a couple of min then try it. If same results then it could be a board.

check the wiring diagram at the back panel. trace each component.

you could have disconnected one or two wires while replacing the fan, check the thermostat control. see if there is continuity. check the wirings also that went there.
