Question about Protron PDV-388
Does Protron offer for sale a replacement rechargeable battery pack?
SOURCE: Rechargeable Battery Pack
I believe the battery pack may not be working and I cannot charge it through the plug in charger b/c the metal peice inside the plug has broken off inside the dvd player. I want to continue using it but I am not sure what to do. I have been unable till now to even find some help with this.

Rechargeable batteries can only be recharged so many times. They begin to slowly lose their capacity after about the first 5 charges until ultimately it won't hold a charge anymore. It appears that this is your problem. Look for a model number on the battery & do a Google search for it if you want to try & replace it. You might also find it is cheaper to buy a whole new DVD player than it is to buy a replacement battery.

I found that I can't get the same, but there is battery packs that can be used as substitutes. I also figure I can use it by plugging it in.
