Re: Ringing problem

You need to have the speaker cable replaced, take the phone to a mobile service repair center and have them replace it for you.

I canot hear it ringing when anyone calls. there is a dial tone, and i hear it ringing when called from another line but no ringing on my end

Because you said you have a dial tone I'm guessing that this is a land line (home) telephone. Make sure that the ringer volume is turned up. You may have to search for it but it is located somewhere on the phone. Plug another phone into the same jack and if this unit work replace your phone(very cheap). Still not working then you may have a defective phone cable which must be replaced.

Hope this help with your problem.

Have a Siemens 7010 can't hear the phone ringing when I dial a number. Person at the other end can hear me but I can't hear them

The problem with your phone is that the earpiece on your phone is bad that is why you cannot hear the party calling you or hear anything while you call.

All you need to do is to replace the earpiece on your phone and you will see that you can hear whoever you are talking to on your phone.

Change the earpiece on your phone and you will see that the problem is solved. meanwhile, you can keep using the headset pending the time you will replace the earpiece.

Good luck.

Same problem. no ringing. 10 seconds til i hear the other perseon.

As Swimducky already suggested, what you need to do is to 'delete all' in your previously called numbers, then it dials out just fine. lame, but it works. :D

I am able to call but can't hear the other persons phone ringing, busy, voicemail or if anyone answers, there is no sound. The same if someone calls me, it rings, I try to answer & nothing. I can send...

well the ringing is from another speaker that works as a loudspeaker/ handsfree on your phone

as a preliminary check try connecting a headset and answer the phone if you can hear the other party then the problem is with the earpeice, you might want to get it repaired

Sound going in & out

What is happening is that she is accidently pressing the "up" portion of the rocker switch on the left side of the phone when she flips the phone open. You will notice (try this on purpose)that when you open the phone while holding the rocker switch up, that there are no key sounds when dialing a number. Oh yes, the number will dial and even show connected on the screen--but no sound!!!. Now, to hear the dialed number ringing, you must press the speakerphone button below the rocker switch. You don't have to turn on the speaker phone, just pressing this button restores sound. On the next call however, the sound will STILL not work until you press the 4 way toggle button in the center of the phone. Now the phone is restored to normal status. It took me about five hours and a million combinations of buttons to figure this out. See my post, from 121212. thanks
