Please go to this website where you can find all for the drivers for your laptop. http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs&ServiceTag=&SystemID=LAT_PNT_PM_D600&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
Once on the website go to the "network" part. I think your driver is the "broadcom-driver". Download and go to the location where it's been saved. Double click on downloaded file. Once installed restert your laptop.

I need to find a ethernet driver or adaptor for a dell d600 laptop
Here is the website for Dell Driver downloads. Enter your service tag to determine which driver you need.

You might have a problem if it's not the original NIC. They are very easy to swap out so someone might have done that. There are at least two different NICs for the D600... one is Dell and the other is Intel. There may have been variations in the models as well.

Another suggestion is to go to eBay and look for: d600 driver disk
They usually cost less than $10 and it's easier than downloading all the drivers from Dell.

GO TO DELL.COM WITH OTHER COMPUTERS INTERNET DOWNLOAD YOUR LAPTOP DRIVER FROM DELL SITE THEN COPY TO CD /DVD -ROM OR USB FLASH DRIVE THEN INSTALL ON YOUR LAPTOP AS EASY GOOD LUCK!

There is no availabe network driver for this Latitude d600 found on the dell support website that will work for vista. Most probably this computer is not configured to work with vista.

            Seems like ur problem is pretty straight forward...try this
Right-click My Computer->Select Properties->Click on Hardware tab->Click Device Manager->From the list click on Network Adapters and tell me if there is an exclamation mark next to your ethernet controller...If yes then its a device driver problem..If not its a device problem...Either ways i will help you out but just let me know what it is..
