Not all universal remotes have all preset codes known. Programmable or "learning" remotes will do anything as they have a receiver diode that allows it to encode your commands from the other remote when placed face to face in the learning mode. Try looking up your unit on the web and find the IR pattern code and entering it manually. There are presets and the ability to enter a code.
