Question about Canon PowerShot A70 Digital Camera
When I turn on my camera, instead of being able to view what is in the viewfinder, the back screen is mainly dark with a few white/pink horizontal streaks...they move about, and sometimes are not there at all - just black. Do you know what's going on? It worked fine recently.
And when I take photos they are also fuzzy.
It says on your website that there is a derfect with the sensor and regardless of how old canon will fix it.
Yep, this sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your cameras warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
