Power transformer busted

Re: bose 321

You probably blew up several components in the power
supply circuit, but yes it can be fixed.
Just take it down to your local TV repair shop.
Oh wait, those don't exist anymore.

Right now the Transformer in the BOSE system might have burnt out or it might be shorted out. It would be better to check with BOSE, but for burnt transformers you cannot claim warranty from BOSE.
If bose refuses to provide the warranty then take it to a TV repairing shop and ask them to change the Transformer so that it would support direct 230v....

I've sold these systems in a store for many months, and my advise so is that you don't plug it in any;ore, but contact a specialist/electronic technician to solve this.
these systems are difficult to repair when something like that occurs.

I hope this is useful, and greets,

Bose 321 tray will not open

If it's flashing on and off, then the DVD drive is the least of your problems. Check to see if there is a dual-voltage switch on the bass module. (if so, set it to 120v if you're in the US) As for the DVD drive--> Try another reset by unplugging the power for at least 30 seconds. Plug it back in, "Bose 321" will appear and disappear from the display, and then press the eject button before you power it back on. Wait about 3-8 seconds. If the drive won't open, it will probably need a repair. $150 for repair w/ new warranty through Bose- 800-367-4998.

I bought a BOSE system in chicago. now in India not working

Electricity in India is 240 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. You will require a voltage converter if you are carrying a device that does not accept 240 Volts at 50 Hertz. Check the voltage selector atthe back and set it to teh correct voltage - if not present buy an adaptor. Your component will have to be examined by an expert. Bac speaker bose 321

The arrays from this system are only designed to run with the Bose Acoustimass / subwoofer, which in turn will only work with the Bose DVD player. If you use them directly to an amplifier, they'll sound poor / wierd and you probably blow the drivers. You might even damage your amp.

Each speaker has 2 drivers firing in slightly different directions. The idea is (when its used with the 321 system), the inward speakers give a mix of front and centre, the outer drivers give a mix of front and rear. A normal amp won't do this....

Turn the switch off on the rear of the Acoustimass module (subwoofer); wait 30seconds; turn on, system shows "Bose 321"; as soon as this disappears, press "Open/Close" button. If the drive hasn't failed, the drawer will open. It's worth contacting Bose to check the system software is up to date - if it isn't, they'll send an update disc free of charge.
If this doesn't give the disc back, contact Bose for a repair - it could have happened if the disc was accidentally put in upside down. Otherwise, the drive may have failed - this could happen to any make of product, no matter what the cost or make, that's why you have a warranty.
