Despite adding a new toner cartridge into my OKI B410d printer, it's still printing like the toner is close to running out. The toner distribution is fine on the right side, but very light in toner down the middle of the page. Could this have something to do with the actual toner drum? Is there a way for me to clean the drum and get it working again?
Open the lid. Mounted under the lid you should see a horizontal bar which is actually the laser [LED]. Once your toner cart has emitted, enough loose toner has accumulated on the laser that it can no longer draw on the page correctly. Using something soft and barely dampened with water [use a soft cotton cloth, NO PAPER PRODUCTS, no dirty rags, etc] and wipe gently from L to R to remove the loose toner. Turn to a clean section of the cloth and do it once more. GENTLY! No pressure, do not scrub it, or you can damage the laser. Close the lid and print something. You should be back to good now.

try checking the ink cartridge if it is not faulty. If it is then change it with a new one. Do a maintenance task located in your printers configuration and reboot the printer.
Hope this works. :)
thank you..
just pm me if problem still occurs.

It is more than likely that you have an incompatible toner fitted to the drum unit. Either a generic cartridge or b430 or b440 cartridge which is not compatible with b410's. Beyond that it may be a faulty drum unit. Hope this helps.
