- I have the guide that came along with the TV set.
It is written that: to enter Test mode, use customer IR remote transmitter, entering the following 7 sequence will activate test mode "C"
1- Digit 0
2- Digit 6
3- Digit 2
4- Digit 5
5- Digit 9
6- Digit 6
7- Menu
However despite entering the sequence buttons as indicated, i haven't been able to access the test mode. Does anyone has a solution to the problem?

- I can access the menu command however option 6 for convergence A will not operate, nor option 7 for convergence B. All other options are fully functional.
I can navigate between menu and sub-menu except for 6 and 7
Press SLEEP TIMER and, while the indication of (SLEEP TIMER 0 MIN) is being displayed. press DISPLAY and VIDEO STATUS on the RC simultaneously. Exit: EXIT.

I have a JVC AV-48WP74 rear projection big screen. It has convergence problems. I've changed convergence IC's before and this time it is not working out for me. I have put in two sets of brand new convergence ICs and they have had the same out come. It will not power up, the power light just flashes but if I put the original ones back in, it powers up fine. The convergence is off but it powers up. I've changed any bad resistors but if the original ones work then that cant be the issue. My supplier said that he could send me new ones but he doesn't think that it would solve the problem. What could the problem be?

I have a JVC 48 inch tv. I've had it for a few years. Today I was watching football and the TV sizzled and turned off. I unplugged everything and turned the tv on...same thing. Where is the problem ? Is it fixable ?
