The pump has broken and I can't get the clothes out - they are sat in the soapy water, how do I over ride the locking mechanism?
You need to get the water out before the door will open. One way is to lower the drain hose into a bowl / bucket to allow the water to run out. Another way is to tilt the machine back, place a bowl under the filter and loosen off the filter so the water gradully flows out enough to open the door. Once all the water is gone you may find a coin or something jamming the pump.

no easy way to open
disconnect from mains
take top off. feel down the front to where the door lock is and see if you can feel the door peg sticking thro the door interlock. force this with your fingers and with luck the door will open
if can't do this way, break handle off and lever peg with a small screwdriver
you can buy a handle kit complete. fitting this is not difficult - split the door and all will be revealed advise you make a carefull note of where springs go etc before you start stripping it down or take a few fotos if you have a digicam

Managed to work it out, you have to slide the outer door case away from the handle locking mechanism, slide left and move away (after undoing the 6 screws on the inside) :-)

i have the same problem with a bosch at a rental unit i just moved into. the door is locked up until the 25 or 41 minute cycle depending on the cycle used.
$500 to fix the motor, YIKES! and its my responsibility, yikes again.
definitely a motor problem not a door problem.
