Make sure you check that the front audio cable is connected properly on your motherboard. You can see how it's supposed to be hooked up and where it is located on page 2-32 in either of the manuals I have linked up for you below. And if you haven't already make sure you have the correct audio driver installed.

Go to BIOS and check settings

You can download the drivers from ASUS WEB site. hey that because the driver is only for let say xp os , all you have to do is to go to the asus website and download driver for windows 7.

Go into your BIOS and activate dual channel mode.

please also note that several motherboard required you to put the modules in certain slot configuration (such as in slot 1 and 3 or 2 and 4) but if you got only 2 slot then forget about this slot configuration.
