Question about GE Profile JTP95 Electric Single Oven
Hello, working for GE I hear numerous questions in regards to these types of errors.
The first thing to do would be to check the Use/Care manual for the unit. Go ahead and input your full model# in the SEARCH box located on the main site here : http://www.geappliances.com/
From there you can click on your particular model (I chose the BB or black model since you didn't specify"JTP95BABB") and then on that unit's page there will be a tab in blue that says "Product Documentation."
From there, you can see an Adobe Acrobat type copy of the Use and Care manual for that appliance. The FAQ on errors is normally listed near the Warranty information, to try and reduce the amount of cost to consumers on non-warranty covered and/or calls in which a tech really isn't needed to assist you.
Sometimes, a fix can be as simple as resetting the power breaker for the appliance.
In my experience, an F code of any kind will either go away with a resetting of the breaker (wait approximately 5 minutes before turning power back on!) or unfortunately, it will require a licensed technician to replace it (consumers replacing certain parts can void the warranty please make sure to check your use and care manual and call the G.E. Answer Center, or "GEAC" as it's called internally, for any questions regarding warranty coverage.
