Nx7010 does not start.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have HP compaq nx7010 . However, my laptop does not show any sign of life! however, as life of electronics is shown by light, the light of the On/Off, and from the electrical power blink, but not the hard disk.

When I removed the battery and connected directly it did not work as well.

Any suggestion? (I am not able to see the Bios).

Rawad.

You mean it blinks constantly in a pattern or just blinks randomly?

Hello dear, probably some BIOS values changed, causing u no displays. Try this key combination immediately after startup

esc - loads bios, but not in display
F9 - (hope its F9 in ur laptop) resets BIOS
F10 - saves BIOS to default values and exits
RESTART

Or else try removing CMOS battery, its right beneath the keyboard. (Just remove 1 screw) Remove and hold for 1 minute and then reinsert and turn up laptop on. Your PC should be fine.

Where do I find the button to start the Wi-fi ?

As far as I know - the wireless button is on the left of the power button (the middle one)

If I remember corectly, the button should have three "modes" tap once - bluetooth, tap twice - wifi, tap three times - both.

But that could be just my memory acting up and there could be only one mode (on/off) in which case - check if the wireless is enabled in the system settings and/or BIOS.

HP compaq nx 7010

Sorry to dissappoint You mate, but NX7010 has no built-in microphone... VERY illogical design, for its time, but it's the sad truth. Buy an external one, plug it in and You shall see, that the sliders and tickers are suddenly working.
