My display screen reverted lol how do I correct it please

Try either of the followings if you are Windows 7 user:
1. (For built in display) Right clk on the desktop screen and point to "Graphic options". You will see a drop down list where you can find "Rotation". Point to that "Rotation" and you will find the "Rotation" options.
2. (Seperate monitor) If you or someone accidentally or intentionally click on the monitor "Menu" button. You will have to find that on the monitor's "Menu" and locate the reverse display option and correct it. Since monitor differs from one another, I can't give to the exact button to press :). Good luck

Press, and hold down on the Fn key, and AT THE SAME time tap once on the F5 key.

The F5 key is the Display Toggle-Over key.

Still no?
There are at least 3 display options;
1) Internal monitor of laptop ONLY.
2) Internal monitor of laptop AND external VGA monitor
3) External VGA monitor ONLY

Hold the Fn key down again, and tap once more on the F5 key.

I turn on my laptop it display green light that its booting but not displaying anything, later on the green light stop but the fan is still working, the system still on. please help me out with it.

I think that the first thing you should check is the display itself. Connect the laptop to an external monitor to see if you get video output.
Also, be sure you haven't accidentally turned the video off using the Fn plus special function key combo that switches displays between the laptop and external.

Screen display is sideways

Hi all5r_mine,

Based on your situation. I suggest trying the following options:

Upside Down or Sideways Monitor Display

Problem Description:
The user accidentally pressed a keyboard combination that turned the entire monitor display upside down or sideways. The user cannot recall the keyboard combination that caused the problem and has no idea how to rectify the display.

Possible Solutions:
Some graphics cards have rotation "hot keys" enabled by default and this is probably the most common cause of this problem. The exact procedure for rectifying the display may depend on the particular brand and configuration of the graphics card in the problem computer. One of the following options may help resolve the issue.

Option One:
Try using the keyboard combination, "Control + Alt + Up Arrow Key". Control + Alt along with one of the arrow keys is a fairly common rotation hot-key configuration and may just do the trick.

Option Two:
If Option One doesn't work, see if there is a graphics card icon displayed in the Notification Area (near the Windows Clock). Clicking (or right-clicking) the icon may reveal a "Rotation Settings" option that will allow you to revert to "normal" display.

Option Three:
If neither of the previous options help, try the following procedure.

1. Right-click an open area of the desktop and click "Properties" to open the "Display Properties" window.

2. Click the "Settings" tab and then click the "Advanced" button to open the monitor settings window.

3. Click the tab corresponding to your graphics card. You may need to click one or more buttons within the tab to reveal a rotation settings option. Exactly where rotation settings are located will depend on the brand of graphics card installed.

4. Once you locate the rotation settings, choose the "0 degrees" or "normal" option to change the display to upright. The rotations settings may also give you the option of disabling rotation hot keys so that the problem does not happen again.

5. Click "OK" to save changes and exit out of any open properties windows.

Navigating through menus and choosing options when the display is abnormal is difficult but certainly not impossible.

Hope it helps.

Please rate this solution if found useful.

Best regards,

My 1545 laptop power on but no display

If the system powers on, and boots normally (You get windows startup sounds and such) then you troubleshoot the LCD. Cycle Fn+F8 and ensure the LCD hasn't been disabled for one. Reseat the Display cable under the keyboard, and connect an external monitor and see if you can get a display there.
If the above troubleshooting is no help or is you don;t get normal windows statup sounds, then you likely have a motherboard issue. Remove all Drives, Battery, RAM and wireless cards, see if there is any change. If there is, add 1 RAM module and see if system posts. If the system posts, then add items till the defective one is located. If no change, then replace the motherboard.
