I have an ATI Radon X1650Pro (512 MB), it work intil I install the deivers. After instaalling the drivers it locks up or reboots over and over. I have an ASUS A8V delux MB with the latest BIOS update, 3GB ram with a 600W PS, running MS XP. I was using this card on XP64 and just removed it fora XP due to problems with software not working with 64. I was able to get the drivers for 64 install and it worked. I did the same install as with 64 with the XP drivers but it still would not work. help

Radeon X1650pro suddenly stopped functioning

You may have to uninstall prior drivers and re-install the most current. If you have been operating this card with Windows 7 then, it must be compatible. http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/CatalystAGPHotfix.aspx This is AMD's link for your card. If it is indeed an AGP card I would try the driver listed for your operating system. It worked with Windows 7 but the current drivers may not work. If you have upgraded your drivers in the past yourself, you may want to see if you can find the last compatible driver that worked for you and/or you may want to start over altogether if you have the installation CD. You may also want to try the Vista driver, which will sometimes wirk with Windows 7. If it's at all possible, you might want to test the card on a family or friends computer with the AGP slot. Good luck. Dave

Free download ATI RADEON X1650PRO 512MB AGP GRAPHICS VIDEO CARD

Click here to get the latest available drivers for your ATI Radeon X1650Pro.

On the right hand side of the page their is a quick driver download section. With a heading Download drivers.

Select the following:
First field: Desktop Graphics.
Second Field: Radeon X Series.
Third Field: Radeon X1xxx Series.
Fourth Field: Select the operating system that are running this graphics card on.

Now click View results.
Then it may say that you should use the ATI Catalyst 9.3 Driver, however the 10.2 version is available for download. I would try it first just in case it works.
If not you will have to download and install the Catalyst 9.3 Driver.

Take care!

When I turn on my computer no post or screen to work with why?

it sounds to me that the graphics card is faulty, with graphics cards they generally dont need an initial driver for them to work, they just use the minimal grahics they have so that you can boot your pc, once loaded up with windows then the grahics drivers get installed, in my veiw your best bet is to get hold of another graphics card.
