If you're talking about the Windows Password for a user account try this: Turn the laptop off then turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see an option for SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let the computer boot up. When it gets to the login screen it will show you the Administrator account and the account for the user that you don't know the password. Select the Administrator account and hopefully it's not password protected. When you get into the windows desktop click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts. Under user accounts select the user for which you don't know the password then select the option to Remove Password. Click OK and reboot the machine.
Completely wrong! I am trying to reset the superviser password which enables you to reset boot sequence etc at the moment most everything is greyed out and one most have the supervisers password; not! the user password; hard drive password or windows log in pass word ! Pressing f8 several times does not work and the cmos battery is nowhere to be seen ;not under wireless card or memory chips so how about someone who knows what is what coming up with real info! Using third party programes to reset windows password ineffectual as the computer must boot up from a usb stick with appropriate software to interrogate the password but I cannot alter boot sequence as of now! we are now talking about the candy windows password not the bios passwords that originally gave me this problem as I sent the computer back in time to an earlier config but the password went into the ether! ok. I tried all the old passwords all to no avail!. All this to see if the wireless card was working as it seem to be away without leave! or my modem /router is kaput in the wireless department! There is a hint of an advanced Bios setup but can't access it!
First, try to remember your log in information. If you forgot your user id or password then you can use the forgot password/user id link. If you are prompted with the account info questions you just need to answer 2 of those to get the reset password.
If the above steps will not work then you need to contact eBay thru the customer support link on the upper right and choose account security. There are 3 possible reasons why you are unable to access your account.
1. if your account's been compromised, you will need to talk to eBay's account security team. they will ask you several questions to verify your identity. 2. if you or someone else requested the closure of your account. Most of the time your account's termination will be pending but once 180 days passed then your account will be permanently be deleted. If it's already deleted then you will not be able to use it anymore, you will need to create a new account. If it's only pending termination then you will just need to talk to general support, they will just reinstate your account and send you a password reset link. 3. If you didn't use your account for a long time, usually a year or more. eBay suspends inactive accounts, reason is that they are preventing others to access and use your account. You will need to talk to general support about it so that they can reinstate your account.
Hope this explains it. Better yet, try to clear the saved password in your browser for eBay and clear the cache and cookies of your computer. You may also try to use another browser.
If you are talking about a user password and you not remember you set one .. it may be just the log in screen and if you hit enter without a password may just work .. after that go to the user accounts in the control panel .. select the account you use..and click to change the way users log in .. and select welcome screen ..This will remove the screen with the user log in .. may be needed a function to be removed from the lan driver .. if you enabled the lan card log on . another possibility is that someone with access on your computer just made a bad joke and inserted a password.. check out whom might done it and ask for the password or .. reinstall the Operation system in case the password is lost
There are some software you can download to remove/recover the password, Ophcrack - http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ - for the download
but if you're in a local network with a server (with password/userbank), then you need to contact the administrator and ask him to make a new password for you.

What you can't remember? Is it your e-mail user name and password? If yes, the user name and password that you need to use is the user name and password of your e-mail.
If you really can't access your e-mail through your Motorola, then you need to delete the e-mail account that is configured and re-create it using either POP3, IMAP or Exchange.
Refer to the user manual to see the instruction of setting up your e-mail. Re-creating your e-mail on your phone would allow you to use re-access your e-mail.
However, let me know immediately if this is not what you meant so that I could further assist you.
seems like the access to your harddrive is password protected at BIOS level, try another hd. if same message occurs, please renew your request at fixya!
