How do you change 6.32 a recurring decimal into a fraction

Sorry, you have to be more specific. How many decimals are repeating.
If your number is 6.32323232... the period is 32.
Decompose the number in two parts 6 and the repeating part. 0.323232 =0.32
0.32 repeating = 32/99
Your number will be 6+32/99= (6*99)/99+(32/99)= (6*99+32)99=626/99
It is irreducible.
What is important to remember is that
0.abcd where a,b,c,d are the digits that constitute the period can be written as (abcd)/9999
period/ (as many 9 as there are places in the period

0.435867 =43587/999999
Also 0.999999999999.....=1
0.11111...=1/9
0.09090909....=1/11

Reduce the decimal places

Press the MODE key a certain number of times until you get FIX. Select it. You will be asked to specify the number of decimal places (enter a number between 0 and 9). You can also choose the normal mode. However, if the result is too small or too large, it will be displayed in scientific notation.

I want to set the decimal place without using the decimal key--example: hit the 1234 keys and the shows $12.34

You can select the A (K . A) and then the # of decimal places (F 6 3 2 1 0) you want. So if you want to enter 1234 & it calculates 12.34, this will work.

Convert .714285 to the fraction 5/7?

Say you have a repeating decimal number 0.714285 714285 714285 etc. You identify the period (the repeating part) and in this case it is 714285.
Y
ou count the number of decimal places in the period: here it is 6. Your equivalent fraction is
Fraction= period/(99...9) where the number of 9's in the denominator is equal to the number of decimal places in the period. For this case, that is 6.
Thus
0.714285 714285 714285 etc.= 714285 / 999999

Reduce the fraction and you will find 5/7

This technique works for a repeating decimal number where the period starts just after the decimal mark.

If the periodic part does not start right after the decimal mark there are modifications to be made.

Not printing decimals

Depending on the model there is often a switch that you can set the decimal on, often 1-6 places at the top.

Division

it took me a while to figure it out too but i found out how. Put in, for example, 3 divided by 2. You get 3/2. Then press the button right above DEL. (it says S<=>D) and it will convert the fraction to a decimal. To change the number of decimal places shown, push SHIFT then SETUP then 6 then a number from 1-9 and that is how many decimal places will be shown.

I lost my decimal point

You need to be in add mode, and have 2 decimal places selected for the result.
To change to add mode, make sure the 'K . A' switch is in the 'A' position. To get 2 decimal places in the answer, move the selector in the 'F 6 3 2 1 0' switch to the '2' position.

You can see the above described at

this Sharp.com page which shows the users manual. The manual shows examples.
