When I go back to check what's wrong, n1 has been replaced with n1 = 0, I have no idea why the calculator is doing this; I'm on a time crunch and I need help with this as soon as possible. Thank you for reading! BTW, I'm using a TI-84 Plus CE if that is helpful. AmanStino Ultra Slim Lightweight Smart shell Stand Cover with Auto Wake...
sounds as if your calculator has registered a number to large to display. this can be done in either the normal calculating mode, or in the memory calculating mode. i will help with both scenarios.
for normal calculating mode:
try pressing the CE button and holding for about a half a second. the E should disappear and calculating function should resume.
if that doesn't work, try disconnecting power supply for a few seconds, then reestablishing power and hit CE
for memory calculating mode(there will be a M on the screen as well if this is the problem)
press either the CE or MC/MCE button for a half second. this should return normal function.
if that doesn't work, try the power reset as described above.
CE stands for Clear Entry. It clears the number that one just entered. To clear the results of a previous calculation use the key AC, if calculator has one. Otherwise try pressing the CE key twice or enter 0, because that is what the clear button will do.
Start by pressing down on the clock/calendar button for about 3 seconds. Then press the equal ( = ) sign to input the correct date. Same process for setting the time. then press the ce/c button to clear the data on the screen. When u want to print the date, press the calendar button. this will automatically print it. then press the ce/c button again so u can start calculating.
Enjoy!
Turn the calculator on.
Hit the "C/CE" button and 0. will display.
Hit the "TIME" button so that the date displays.
Hit and hold "=" button until the month flashes. Now put in your date such as 11182008.
Hit the "TIME" button again so that the time displays.
Hit and hold "=" button until the time flashes. Now put in your time such as 1254. (12:54pm)
Hit "=" button to end.
ok, have your calculator set on "on" press the "time/clock" button once, when date appears on calculator press the "M+=" and hold until first number on date flashes, enter the date you want, when done switch your calculator from "on" to "print". date should be saved. do the same for time.
