I am unable to download any software from the net

I am unable to download any software from the net on this xp.... after downloading it says it cannot install as you do not have necessary permissions to do so... I cant even download Mozilla firefox and google chrome

Exactly what location are you downloading the file to?

Are you logged in with an Administrator account or a Limited account ??

REINSTALL WINDOWS.

YOU CAN ONLY INSTALL PROGRAMS IF YOU ARE USING AN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT

login with administrator account then your problem will be solved....
