Try using a cable clamp over the hose. Check for any blockages that would increase the hose pressure, and resolve if needed.

Wild guess, there is an internal power steering pump pressure relief valve that is stuck or not operating properly and the pressure is going way above the rated capacity of the hose. May need a new power steering pump. Who is changing your hose? Some chance the hose is not rated for the pressures being developed by the pump.

Of course the hose is going to pop off! It's under a lot of pressure and heat! By design, the power steering hose, connectors, and ferrules are pressure fitted together (called crimping) by using a hydraulic press.

Either go to your local parts store (NAPA, Pep Boys, Auto Zone) or parts department of the Dodge/Chrysler dealership and purchase & install a new hose.

You may have even burned out the entire hydraulic servo system.

Better yet, I strongly advise having a certified ASE mechanic check out the entire system; and let them install the new hose since the power steering system will have to be bled.

Lives depend on it.

Use a clip to keep it on then.

A quick easy fix would be to get a hose clamp and tighten it down on the hose to keep it from popping off

the powering steering hose blew the hose need to be replaced--the hose and connectors are one

Clean the hose and connecting area with an agent to remove all oil (accetone may work), then put hose back on and ensure bolts are torqed to spec (F250 about 9FTLBS).
