Internet access

don't use IExplorer, use firefox or chrome. You do not need to know any proxy. Stay out of Lan settings. Make sure your ethernet cord is plugged in tight on both ends. That cord should show a green light when you look directly into the ethernet jack on your computer. You should be good to go then and connect to the internet.

If you do not know how to deselect some of the factory defaults before connecting it to the internet, you will be setting yourself up to get hijacked or worse. Have someone who knows a bit about PCs to help you.

I can't get my LAN settings to automatically detect settings, box will not check.

Reset your proxy settings
Proxy servers, or proxies, act as intermediary servers between a Web browser and the Internet. According to Microsoft's website, proxies are mainly used by networks in companies to enhance the security and speed of their network connection.
Proxy servers can also be used to log Internet usage, mask the network address of a server or to apply global restrictions to a network.
Internet Explorer is set to automatically detect proxy servers by default.
You can reset the Internet Explorer proxy settings to their default settings from the "Internet Options" configuration.

I have found the easiest way to do this is to add the menu to the top of a webpage.
Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help
Click on tools option then from the drop down list Internet Options
Select the "Connections" tab, and click the "LAN Settings" button.
Delete the proxy server address and port from the "Proxy Server" settings and clear the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" check box.

Clear the check box beside the "Automatically detect settings" and "Use automatic configuration script" options in the "Automatic Configuration" section of the "LAN Settings" dialog window. Click "OK."
Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save these changes and close the "Internet Options" dialog window.
Close all Internet Explorer browser windows for these changes to take effect.

Error 105 mcafee

Try this:

Open Google Chrome

Click Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings > LAN Settings > Uncheck "Use a Proxy server for your LAN.

Save the settings and then start using your chrome.

If problem still occurs then instead of Uncheck "Use a Proxy server for your LAN" kindly Check "Auto detect settings"

For instant use system utility tool Reginout having feature of Internet Optimizer that will fix this problem instantly.

Proxy setting 130

Exactly error: "Unable to connect to the proxy server
A proxy server is a server that acts as an intermediary between your computer and other servers. Right now, your system is configured to use a proxy, but Google Chrome can't connect to it.
Here are some suggestions:
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or check with your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.
If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, try the following steps: Go to Wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed."

Error 336 (net::ERR_NO_SUPPORTED_PROXIES): Unknown error.

Make sure that you have the proxy disabled in the lan settings: Top right wrench tool button --> Options --> Under the Hood --> Change Proxy Settings --> LAN Settings --> Uncheck use Proxy server for your LAN. Hit okay. Close Chrome, open it back up and see if that works.

I am a LAN user and i am using proxy setting for internet access

The reason for proxy setting not to change is that there is some security software that is blocking the changes that is done on the computer
if you want to permanently set the proxy, tr to boot to safe mode and then set the proxy unchecked and rebooot to normal mode..

If this still does not solve the problem then there is a registry fix for it
