One of my kids cracked the screen on my 60V500A, after much searching i found a replacement screen and ordered it. It's now arrived and i took the TV apart to replace it, now i have it back together and powered up the picture seems fine in the center but darker round the edges and slightly out of focus. Any ideas how to fix this? I've went through the service menu but nothing jumps out as the right setting.

- How would I correct this, the inner screen came fixed to the outer?
Is there a right way up?
You have probably reversed the inner screen (Fresnel Lens) when you reassymbled the screen. It will give you the same effect.
Hope this helps,

- First make sure the Screen assy is in the right direction. The Outer Screen(Lenticular Sheet) is ribbed and runs up and down and appears to have black lines coating the surface. It could be tricky to tell if the screen came with a Screen Protector. The Inner Screen (Fresnel) has a distinct circular cut appearance to it. If you have the old Screen still, look for the labels on the inside edge of Inner Screen. Verify location with the new Screen. If it is needed to flip flop the Inner Screen, the Screen assy is usually held together with a clear tape. Great caution should be had when taking this tape off to not damage any of the screens.
Hope this helps,

it seems my tv remote sensor is faulty as my remote cannot turn on the tv, but it can turn on other electronic devices. i've called a repairman but was told it would be a $400 fix. i am wondering, could a digital converter box be a solution to this problem? if the sensor doesn't work, it seems to me the DVT converter would not be able to turn on/off the tv. am i correct? would buying one be just a waste of money?

I have a Mitsubishi VS-5004r 50? TV. Two questions: 1. For some reason I cannot get the TV to turn off. When I power it off I hear a clicking sound and then it turns back on again. Is there anything that can be done? 2. TV keeps asking me for a 4 digit input code. Is there a way to delete this or enter in a new code from scratch? Thanks, Brian
